Transcripts

Our court reporters utilize Computer Aided Transcription (CAT) software that assists us in taking the shorthand outlines that are created via the steno machine and translate that into English.

In addition to a full size copy of the transcript, we can also provide you with a condensed transcript that can be created in a variety of formats (usually four pages of text on one page), along with a keywork index.

E-Transcripts & Email Transcripts Delivery

De Scribe Reporting offers electronic mailing of transcripts with RealLegal's E-Transcript software. An E-Transcript file is a completely self-contained, interactive transcript. Once the court reporter imports an ASCII file into the E-Transcript software, the final E-Transcript file is encrypted, password protected and virus protected. It can be safely and securely emailed for instant electronic delivery or sent on diskette.

Videography

Our videographers have state-of-the-art equipment and can provide you with a copy of the videotape at the end of the deposition. When preparing for a deposition videotape services should be used along side shorthand court reporting. They also offer Video CD, DVD, split screen equipment and imaging services. Our videographers adhere to the state requirements to the use of a time/date stamp and running clock.

ASCII Diskette

Along with your transcript order, upon request, we can provide you with a copy of the deposition on diskette in ASCII format. ASCII is a standardized format that allows the legal professional to import the file into other litigation support software that they may possess. An ASCII file will also open up in Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect in text format.

Conference Rooms

De Scribe Reporting has conference rooms available in Ann Arbor Michigan, Southfield Michigan, Detroit Michigan, Troy Michigan, and Lansing Michigan. Complimentary coffee service is provided in each location. Our Southfield/ Metro Detroit and Troy location also has fax and copying services available. Each of our conference rooms are equipped with speakerphone and dry erase boards for your convenience.
